  • Friends Annual General Meeting

    Thursday 21 May 2026, 5.30 for 6pm

    Farokh Khorooshi, our Speaker, is a renowned local animal cinematographer, Farokh Khorooshi, who has worked with Sir David Attenborough. 

    He promises to share some interesting insights into how challenging it is working with animals.  

    He studied graphic design in England in the Seventies and completed his film studies at London International Film School where he studied Film Art Direction. He joined the animation industry in London’s Soho where he produced and pirected more than a thousand international Animation and Special Effects TV Commercials from 1983-1993 and won many international awards for his work. These days Farokh specialises in Animal Action Direction for TV drama and cinema commercials and feature films. His indulgence is making high quality art documentaries for the international Television market.

  • Friends Garden Party

    Tuesday 30 June

    Friends Garden Party, The Old Mill House, Maids Moreton, courtesy of Mr and Mrs Cumming. You are invited to come an enjoy a beautiful garden. Bring something to drink and nibbles, and a rug or chairs. This is a thank you to all our Friends and there will be a collection in aid of the Buckingham Young Carers.

REGULAR MEETINGS

MEMBERS MONTHLY LUNCH

The monthly lunches will run from January to October – with a gap in November for the Annual Dinner and in December for the Christmas social. Great food at a great venue and a chance to meet up with friends and maybe even make some new ones. Often including an informative talk by a local speaker.


ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Held in May each year, the Friends AGM where everyone has the opportunity to air their views on any aspect of the Friends.

The AGM is combined with a very enjoyable program of entertainment popular with Friends members.
